Home Health services provided by The Lutheran Home are designed for individuals living in their own home who need medically necessary care. Patients often improve greatly after an illness or injury if they receive medical care in their own home. Our goal is to provide quality care in our patients' homes, enabling them to receive medical care there instead of having to leave their home to receive those services.

Services can include:

Skilled Nursing: To help with medications including medication planner setup and education; obtain blood for physician-ordered lab work; education on disease process; monitor blood pressure, blood sugars and other vital signs; monitor wounds and assist patient or caregiver with wound care.

Home Health Aide: Trained aides may provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living. Learn more about Home Health services at The Lutheran Home today.

Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy: Licensed therapists may provide treatment and modalities as ordered by the physician to facilitate and promote recovery.

Medical Social Services: Counselors may provide patient and family education and instruction related to personal and financial concerns, as well as assist patients with finding resources and services within the community where they live.

We provide an on-call nurse 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Lutheran Home Home Health services are available to residents in Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, Perry, Scott and Stoddard counties.
